WHERE DID THE LOVE GO?

DEHUMANISATION!
What does that word even mean?
Well to be ‘humane’ means to have human feelings and an individuality unique to a person, to feel deeply for others and put yourself in their shoes making it less easy to hurt them.

To be dehumane means when people have been forced to lose their selves, individuality and conscience, just to survive due to horrible conditions and when you as a human is selfish, cold hearted, greedy,  self serving and wicked.
You are beginning to lose touch with that inner voice you were given (conscience)  which serves as your guide to put you in order and tell you when you are in the wrong or right.

To be dehumane or dehumanised is when you don't see your fellow neighbour hungry as a priority,  yet you constantly waste money on frivolities. It's also what you are when you see a heavy downpour about to fall from the skies or actually pouring heavily and you see Mrs Thomas your neighbour making her way under that heavy downpour with no help or shade to hide and you don't offer her a lift. Instead you splash water on her as you drive past.

Being dehumane is also telling your unemployed friends to come pay 50-100 thousand naira or even more per head for clothes, jewellery to be on your bridal /groom train that lasts less than 24hrs.
If you are this kind of friend, you obviously do not not wish her/him well. You cannot get your friend a job but you insist on picking expensive aso ebi and bridal train outfits and shoes for  everyone saying they must buy. You don't even know if they have had breakfast today or yesterday? Do you even care? Afterall it's your wedding and it must be all about YOU. Forgetting that the wedding day party is just for a day or two days if you want to be extra. You put them under so much pressure, manipulate them so they feel bad when they don't buy. Knowing fully well that if the stones were turned, you won't do the same. You would go invest the money in your own business or start a new business yourself.

I feel like this is what we have been reduced to as a person, as people and as a Nation.
Nobody cares that much about anybody anymore.
Everyone is constantly after MONEY.
Chasing VANITY.
Living RECKLESSLY..
Things we use to cherish are now a BOTHER to us.
We have stopped teaching our KIDS the importance of self worth, DIGNITY and HARD WORK.๐Ÿ’ช

As soon as we die also.. Our kids and families cannot wait to pick new clothes (aso ebi) to wear for the burial. They want to throw a large party..
Spend lavishly… all for a soul that they don't even know if it will make HEAVEN. Do they even care if we do?? Especially kids who did not take care of those parents while they were alive and breathing and needed that money most.

We used to be people that FELT deeply for each other, LOVED deeply and EMPATHISED deeply with others when they lose a loved one or even within our own families or over any thing our neighbour /friends are going through..

 WHAT WENT WRONG ???

A woman who is just 60 has barely lived in other parts of the world.  Why then are you throwing a lavish burial party for that woman.? We even do lavish parties for a  dead 50 year old now. Why not say one or two prayers for her? Afterall her life had only just begun before it was taken from her..and she needs that prayer when she gets to her CREATOR not those clothes or extravagant burial parties.

We are no longer our BROTHER'S KEEPER.

We want to use ourselves without any remorse. In fact that is all we do NOW. The cyber menace and ritual killings is one, our relationships are another.
People know they have no plans or pure intentions towards you yet they go after you relentlessly, disrupt your flow, then go ahead in life hoping to find peace.
How can you find PEACE when you just took away someone else's with no remorse or regard?

You are at the traffic light honking for pedestrians to run across.. Also, you at a zebra honking away for them to make their way across faster. You have somewhere to be. ..but alas, you have nowhere to be. You just want to be a tyrant. You honk for minutes, speed past, only to go park 50metres ahead at the traffic light that stops you. Can you not see that you are senseless and irrational?

We are failing as humans and as a Nation.
We are now TYRANTS. Constantly bullying others.
Our LEADERS bully us and the MEDIA..
You bully people on the road.
Your boss bullies you at work , you in turn go home to bully your wife and kids.
Your wife goes to work the next day to bully all those in her department and vice versa.  We are constantly trying to BRING EACH OTHER DOWN and not LIFTING each other up.
Couples don't lift each other up, parents don't do the same for their kids.
All we do is pray to God for change and constantly say we are being cheated upon by our rulers.
Maybe we are...but can you truly say you are not a PROBLEM yourself to the growth of this country and to your RELATIONSHIPS.
A lot of us are toxic. We even help spread toxicity with no remorse.
When You See your brother doing something wrong and you don't correct him or complain. You are assisting him in spreading toxicity.

WHERE DID THE ‘LOVE ’ GO?

We want to blame our Leaders.
Who is a leader ?
You are the owner of Your Own business. Are you not a leader. Do you lead well in this small space of yours.
How will you lead in a large organisation of thousands ?
How will you rule as a law maker or a Governor?
Won't you be the same TYRANT ?
Who shows no LOVE, or compassion for others. Empathy is being too sensitive to you. Do you think you can be a leader forever?? Have you thought about the day when things will change.

Afterall one man or woman is elected as a public office holder to hold an high esteemed position.  Either a Governor or a local Govt chairman. You are the ‘Government’. We are all the government in every little place we are placed. As the head or when we hold a senior position. Forgetting that being a leader or manager is not for you or about you. It's about those that look up to you.
We are all MANAGERS!.

The former governor of Lagos state, SAN Babatunde Fashola was just a person before he became the Governor of Lagos state and therefore he was the government for the years he ruled Lagos state. So the Government is just ‘you’ and ‘i’.
No one else.

Why are we doing too much and NOT ENOUGH AT ALL?
Would it be so hard if we actually showed LOVE to all those that need it..,Our Neighbours..etc.
Let's think about it. ๐Ÿค”
The miracle we all need is the careful selection of our energy and how well we can pass it on to others. Be a ๐Ÿ’ก in an all so DIM world.

Now i have to ask. Did our Leaders really dehumanise us or this inhumane conditions we have all been forced to live with and survive everyday is because we have been too gullible and submissive as a people to our governments ? Because we ourselves are not worthy of good governance and our leaders are a REFLECTION of our personas?
We have learnt to deal with all our problems with humour and suppressing our emotions.. Till a disaster happens. Then we despair or mourn and move on again with HUMOUR..

We all know it never ends well when you suppress your feelings, it leads to resentment and aggression. Not saying it's a bad thing.. Just that when the 'joke's is over. Who is the ‘JOKE’ on?

Thanks for coming to my blog.
Don't forget to share this with family and friends. I think we all need to see this and acknowledge our REALITY.

Lemme know what you think?

Deep and true. People who dehumanize a fellow human being are those who lack connection to the Almighty or fear of God. For if one has the fear of God, you would Love your fellow being because God is love and he said to love thy neighbor as thy self and also do onto others what you would want them to do to you.

We truly have lost touch with our empathy for others over the years, which is one of the reasons I will always love kids, there is this innocent n genuine love you will always get from them. Kids can always tell if you are a good person at heart or not. P.S never forget to always be a Kid at heart.

The seven deadly sins are what has consumed most Nigerians and our government.

The answer to where is Love? It is in our heart and to know the Almighty Creator, once people start to truly serve and know God and not in a hypocritical way. All will remember n know that God is Love and it's why it is said that Love conquers all.

WHAT NO ONE IS REALLY SAYING ABOUT HAVING A BABY

As an African , many times than we can keep count.  we hear our parents say when are you giving me a baby ?.  I want a grand daughter or a grand son . I am getting older . I want to see them before I die but it’s not only because of them we go ahead to have kids . We have kids to fulfill some righteous notion that we also can be parents. Some of us do because of our religion. While some are parents by mistakes , many are parents by choice . Why? Cos why not really ? Unless of cos you think of all what happens to your sex life and your really cool single life when you have a baby ๐Ÿ˜‚ I can think of one million reasons to not have a kid and we still think of a thousand and one reasons to have one . Which are kids are so adorable as babies as well as a blessing and it’s really cute to have a mini me of yourself or your husband. But what does it really mean to have one .  As a woman, your body is never the same after childbirth .  I have read countless posts about ...

DEPRESSION - What it is and how to overcome it!

Depression drains your energy , hope , and drive , making it difficult to take the steps that will help you to feel better. But while overcoming depression isn’t quick or easy, it’s far from impossible . You can’t just will yourself to “snap out of it,” but you do have more control than you realize—even if your depression is severe and stubbornly persistent. The key is to start small and build from there. Feeling better takes time, but you can get there by making positive choices for yourself each day. I know it's still considered a taboo to discuss depression in some communities or even want to believe that it exists and so they do not talk about it. For example, the black/african community and even the Asian community. We use words like “man up” “be a man” “how can you be depressed? afterall you have a good job, home and family..What else do you want ? but history has shown us that this successful people are more susceptible to take their own lives first. In Asia where depre...
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is characterized by mild symptoms including a runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fever. Illness can be more severe for some people and can lead to pneumonia or breathing difficulties. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. Older people, and people with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill. People may experience: 1) runny nose 2) sore throat 3) cough 4) fever 5) difficulty breathing (severe cases) What we do know is that the elderly and the young ( children especially ) are more susceptible to infection due to their immune systems which are not so strong. Scientists from a new research in the United States and Singapore say we can actually kill this virus if we all work together and follow these basic cleanliness rules and to educate others also. There’s a simple way to fight the new Coronavirus – STAY CLEAN No, this does not need you to start wear...
